What's more health-centric: Stairs v/s Elevators

Lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, while movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it.”                                                                                                                                -Plato

Don't you think contemporary design has made basics far more complicated? The use of escalators and elevators has become enormous in modern architecture and design. Yes, the design concept has evolved like never before, and far-fetched schemes are a revolutionising change in the infrastructure, but what are the beneficial prospects from hereon?

When the commute did not have the back-up of motorbikes and cars, people used to walk miles to reach destinations, which makes up for a significant fact in changing life habits. Then, people used to live longer without being affected by many diseases, if the point is worth noting!

The introduction of elevators happened in the 1920s. At that time, getting onto accelerators was an apprehensive task for many who saw it as a weird invention. Then, many companies that facilitated elevators also accompanied soothing music so that users could tamper with their fears and get along easily. Look at us now, how implicitly we rush into the elevator.

It is very worth taking complete supremacy of the technology, but don't you realise that overdependence could create rifts in a lot of places. Like, waiting for the lift to climb the 3rd floor when you could simply take the stairs and reach early.

Fitness is not restricted to buying quality gym wear, active shorts, and showing up every day to the gym. It is also about everyday lifestyle choices that we are responsible for!

The human body has been designed to resist an infinite number of changes and attacks brought about by its environment. The secret of good health lies in successful adjustment to changing stresses on the body.”

What's better for health?

The best answer to this question is to listen to one's body! There are days when you have an excellent breakfast, and you could probably take a kilometre walk towards your workstation and get on the 3rd floor via stairs ditching the elevator.

There are also days when your body doesn't feel zesty enough, and it's fine to use the technology and listen to what your body is trying to convey. And, technology is taken into use for such days.

Technology advancements are for such days, right? Technology should bring convenience, not a lifestyle change!

So, what's better, stairs or elevators?

In the busy world we are living; exercise has lost significant value! And that has indirectly paved the way for many growing health problems.

Finding ways to stay active in daily life activities can bring a momentous long-term change.

It is essential to remain aware of daily life choices and how they can be impactful in many ways.

Conclusively, it's not about what's better; it's about what shall make you feel better. If you have been taking the help of elevators to climb the first floor, that's an unconventional approach to daily life habits. How technology and balanced life should co-work is by using stairs in the morning and then using elevators, lifts, and accelerators at the end of the day when your body fueled tremendous work in the entire day. That's how we signify health, right?

Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.”
