As per nutritionists, when supplements are taken without maintaining a healthier diet, they do not work. Alongside a nutritious diet, it depends on a good sleep cycle, eating patterns, and lifestyle habits. All of this together has a significant impact on how supplements work.

Should you incorporate supplements into your daily diet?

Whether to incorporate supplements into the diet or not is highly dependent on individual body needs. Supplements should not be taken without a doctor's prescription and consultation.

"I try to get seven to eight hours of sleep. Wash my hands a lot, take a few supplements, like omega-3 and vitamin D. When I feel a cold coming on, I pop some zinc. I do my best to eat a low-sodium, high-fibre diet. I drink mostly water or coconut water. I don't smoke, no drugs, and drink red wine occasionally."
